LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has teamed up with Vogue China and Silas Chou to put together an event to be held in and around The Great Wall of China as a way for America to break in to China's market. The likes of Marchesa and Fendi will be showcasing their Fall collections on the 21st June 2013 at the Dynasty City Relics Park at The Great Wall of China.
The event has been put together to encourage business relations between China and The U.S. as labels are not available in the mainland with that particular area having an interest in smaller businesses in the fashion industry. The CFDA has entered in to a partnership with Shangpin.com to help to enable its member designers to sell on the website by the end of 2013 (Jing Daily). Shangpin will help to promote lesser known designer labels in the China area.
