PPR TO CHANGE ITS NAME TO KERING?

Luxury fashion company Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR) has announced that it will be changing its name to 'KERING' sounding similar to caring. The brand is changing its image to focus on turning into one single business: a luxury accessories, lifestyle and sport speacialist. The change has been developing since 2005 and the name change is subject to approval at an annual meeting and the meeting will commence as of the 18th June 2013. The brand has deep rooted heritage in the Brittany region of France and CEO Francois-Henry Pinault expressed that he wanted to bring the brand 'closer to home' he added that the change will represent the Groups 'new and identity and corporate culture.' As well as a name change the company will also have a new symbol in the form of an owl said to represent a wise and wholesome caring identity of PPR.
 



The luxury fashion mansion obtains a vast number of acquired high-end fashion brands such as Saint Laurent; Stella McCartney; Sergio Rossi, Alexander McQueen; The Gucci Group and Balenciaga to name a few.
